 2010 Defending Lax-N-ati Champs

2011 Bat Profile

#8 Nick Stutler  Attack  Covington Catholic.  2nd year Bat.  A rising Junior, Nick is nicknamed "The G-Note" on the Lax Field.  He recognizes that his entire being is a secret Lacrosse weapon that opponents fear.  He whispers to his opponent's during the game "You would look great in a speedo, and You better check yourself before you wreck yourself."  He is not afraid of anything and believes his constitution is like a Wolverine.  During his down time he watches great movies, his favorite being "the Human Centipede."  Hoping to attend Bellarmine, Michigan, or Hofstra, Nick is busy writing his autobiography, "Memoirs of the Stut."  Nick is one of the most fundamentally sound players in the State and has developed the signature move, "The Kentucky stutter."

#40 Phil Havira   Trinity   Defense  1st year Bat.  Phil is a rising Senior.  He is nicknamed "Footsteps" on the field because opponents fear his "Quick feet" and huge big toes.  His "charming personality" confuses his opponents as he psychoanalyzes them during the game, whispering in their ears "You can't handle the truth."  Phil enjoys reruns of "the Lion King," because it makes him cry.  A very sentimental and fair player, Phil has created his signature move, "the Push from behind."  People tell him he resembles the great proud animal, the "Bloodhound" because of his "sad eyes and floppy ears."  He won't eat any food except that which his mom makes, so on away games he packs his lunch.  Packs of stray cats scare him, perhaps due to his Bloodhound instincts.  Hoping to attend college some day, he would like to go to Dayton, Bellarmine, or Centre.

Headly VanMeter #2 and 2nd year Bat.  Nicknamed "the Dog" he is like a pitt bull on steroids on the Lacrosse Field.  He plays both attack and Midfield for Sayre and Lexington Premier.  He enjoys lacrosse because he can demonstrate his signature move the sliding head tunnel.  If you hear noises around you, don't worry that is just Headly, giving his werewolf snarl. Laxers' fear his hair chest and call him "Baby Bear."   The most interesting part of him is his fur, urrh Hair that flows like Sampson.  He whispers to his opponents before every game, "Whats for supper?  He hopes to go to Transylvania to study Lycanthropy (look it up). Adidas All American 2010 for Team Ohio.

#41 Gary Inman   Defenseman     Trinity 2nd year Bat

#27 Caleb Taffer         Defenseman  Caleb is a Junior at North Oldham High School where he has been nicknamed "Rat Tail" for some reason.  Players have begun to recognize his signature move the "Dog Spin, or otherwise known as Walking the Dog and a spin."  Quite the gentleman, he has recently co-authored the book "The Gentleman's Guide to Lacrosse."  Recognizing that opponents fear his "intimidating loud voice," He is able to draw short poles insane with his "constantly annoying voice." He is a ventriloquist and can throw his voice to other players, often projecting "Touch the Ball I dare you!!!."  His worst fear, however, is snakes on the field.  He believes he resembles the great Norwegian Rat because when his Mohawk lays down it looks like a Rat tail.  Caleb hopes to play Lacrosse at Georgia Tech, Auburn, or Pitt.

#5  Trent Erps  Midfield.  Christian Academy.    All Star Team Big South Challenge 2011.  Multi-sport player with wheels. His signature move is the Erps Overhand Pass." This, along with his graceful speed on the turf, helps Trent handle any defense.  When he is on the field, he whispers in his opponent's ears, "This town ain't big enough for the two of us."  Trent has one of the largest necks in Kentucky, which makes his head dodge so effective.  He is not afraid to take a slash, but he is afraid that his acrobatic lacrosse moves will cause him to lose a limb.  He last read one chapter of "The Crucible," but prefers books with pictures.  Nicknamed "the Blazer," not because he is so fast, which he is, but because he often wears double breasted blazers on the field to warm up in.  He hopes to attend Notre Dame, Dennison, or Centre college.   Trent is a 2nd year Bat.

#1  Austin Zehnder "the Zen master".  He is 6'1 and considers himself a "groundball vacuum cleaner."  A Trinity Attack, Austin hopes to attend college outside of Kentucky. Austin enjoys meditating, eating pizza, and waxing his lax stick in his free time.  Hoping to become a doctor he feels he surgically debilitates his opponents, as they feel he has removed certain organs without anesthesia.2nd year BAT.

#12 Mitchell Kraus.   Jr.  Trinity.   Midfield and Defense.  All around threat.

#17  Davis Church     Attack   Christian Academy.  Davis is a rising Junior that is a second year Bat.

#3 Chad Tevebaugh.  Attack    Manual. First year BAT.  Chad is deceptively quick around the crease.  When he gets the ball, he can flush it.  Chad is one of the premier players at Manual and while playing for the Bats at Big South, garnered a lot of coaches attention.  His head fake is his signature move as he has notably the best head fakes in Kentucky.  Look for his red gloves as he dodges and scores.  He whispers in his opponents ears during the game, "Now you see me, now you ...."

Reid Oliver   St. X.   1st Year Bat  Midfield.

#7 Josh Slone.  BatCager 12 grade at Western Hills.  He has been a Bat the last two years and would like to play college ball at Carthage, Albion, or Wabash College.  Nicknamed  "Slonehenge" he is stands tall in cage.  Not a novice to the game, he has the most wins in cage for the Bats at Lax-n-ati.  When he gets a chance he whispers "FEAR the BAT" in his opponents ears.  What animal does he think he resembles, you got it.. A chipmunk." Josh is extremely competitive and this is what makes him a formidable batcager.  He was on the All Star Team at West Point Camp and enjoys watching Friday Night Lights. Don't ask him to eat Mexican Food because when he was in a Tiajuana prison that is all they fed him.

#44 Justin Goldner   1st Year Bat.   Attack  Trinity H.S.  Justin made the All Star Team at the Big South Challenge in 2011.

#29  Blake Burger is a rising Junior.  He is a first year Bat and has already developed the famous signature move "The flying V."  He enjoys watching Bruno before every game, because it helps with his swag.  He whispers in his opponent's ears during games "Want some whipped cream?"  Nicknamed "The Green Lantern" on the field he uses hypnosis to flumox his opponents.  Blake has one of the best shooting movements in the area, "over the top." Players fear his "harpoon" while on the field, but don't show him any Spiders because that makes him anxous.  He doesn't eat meat and only eats fruits and vegetables.  Girls tell him that he resembles a cute Chinchilla.   Hoping to attend college at Miami, UNC, or Kentucky, Blake would like to major in Ornithology.

#6 Sumner Franklin    Rising Junior   Christian Academy   2nd Year Bat.  Sumner made the Big South All Star Team in 2011.

#22 Will Frey.  Trinity Midfield.  Will is a 2nd year Bat and scored a hat trick at the 2010 Gait Cup.  He is a strong athlete that loves challenges.  He does not intimidate easily.  His signature move the French Frey is a combination of face dodge and split dodge.  He can score in any position. Will believes he resembles a Wildabeast, because he is a Wildabeast. Will is a Junior and would like to attend Centre, Denver, or Jacksonville to play lacrosse.  When he is on the field he whispers in his opponent's ear "Fear the BAT."   The last book he read was "Catcher in the Rye."   Will is known as "KING FRY" on the field.

#23  Brad Lott   A midfielder from Trinity high and a 2nd year BAT. One of Kentucky's best in face off.  He is the "the Face"  He is 6' tall and weighs 160 pounds.  He hopes to attend Ohio State.  His most interesting features are his "cat like, panther, reflexes."  This helps with his face-offs.  Although shy and unassuming, Brad feels he looks like Orlando Bloom or Batmate Connor Glick.  He is able to scream and runaround on his knees like Connor.  Brad enjoys sushi, long walks on the beach, heart to heart conversations with his mother, and giving massages to his team mates.  His signature move is the "pinch n' Pop a Lott."  Because he is "rabbit like", perhaps due to the size of his ears and haunches, he is able to win 87.54 percent of his faceoffs.  Brad is an UnderArmour All American 2010 and 2011. He made the Adidas All Star Team in 2011.

#11 Cody Tranberger  2nd Year BATCAGER.  Played on the 15-1 Trinity H.S. team this past year.  Cody has patented his signature move, "The behind the back through the legs 360."  Known as "Laxolas" on the field, opponents are intimidated by his "big head."  He recognizes that he resembles a "Black Bear" because of his hibernation patterns, Cody is not afraid to whisper to his opponents during a game, "I had a wierd dream about you last night!"  that stops them in their tracks.  Never one to eat Brussel Sprouts or climb heights, Cody does enjoy resting watching Anchorman.  He hopes to attend college at Tufts, Villanova, or ITT Tech..... Cody is an Adidas All American player for Team Tennessee.

#15  Clay Krill   rising Senior.   Trinity High School.  Defense. 1st year Bat.  Class President of Trinity High School.  Although not one of the taller players on the pitch field, Clay is a bulldog.  He is not one to be overpowered.  He plays football as well as Lacrosse and is a solid all around athlete.  He is only afraid of one thing, and that is Cole Killion's (team mate) shaft and Justin's Leg Hairs.  Clay never smiles and when he does watch out.  He whispers in opponent's ears, "Do you want to meet Mr. Slippery?"  His signature move is the "Ko"rilla", which if executed correctly strips the opponent of his gloves, shaft, and at times left thumb.  His 22 inch biceps have developed from his diet of raw liver.

#47  Eric Graehler   Defense  Trinity H.S.  Senior 1st Year Bat  Known for his conservative hair styles, nicknamed the "The Hair of Thor," Eric is one of the most physical defensemen in the state. He enjoys eating Pizza and recognizes that his bulk scares opponents.  But not as much as his "wink" because even though he is a huge body, they fear his eyeballs the most.  He hopes to attend college at UK, Dayton, or Vanderbilt.  His signature move is the "Donkey Kick" because he has the strongest thigh muscle in his left leg.  When he is with friends he enjoys watching movies like the "Cheetah Girls."  He is an avid reader as wll, last reading "Hop on Pop."

#49 Cole Killian, senior plays LSM and attends Trinity High.  he hopes to play at Colgate, Tufts, or the University of South Carolina. He intimidates players with is height, which appears to be 6'5" tall.  His signature lacrosse move used to be the rusty gate, but is now the Front Flip.  Jamming out before every game, he gets ready to tell opponents "It's on like donkey kong." What animal does he resemble, "a bat" because he "used to be able to fly."  His favorite lacrosse memory is scoring the winning goal in sudden death during a game.Adidas All American 2010 for Team Tennessee.  His secret weapon his his "shaft," and on the field Laxer's run from him because of his love of the great Mitchell Kraus.  Nicknamed "Boo Radley", he is going to name his first child Atticus or Scout.  His only fear, and it takes a lot to scare him, is "Justin's leg hair."

#14 Brian Borberly  Midfield.  Brian is a rising Senior and is nicknamed Usain Bolt becasue of his "Cheetah like quickness."  Brian is a silent but deadly player, where he has patented the signature Penquin move, because of his overall "Chill" factor.  This may be why he fears geese.  His secret weapon during a game is his ability to neck dodge opponents, as he whispers to them "Bro."  Brian hopes to attend Denver or the University of Colorado at Boulder and take his game to the Rockies. He doesn't require a lot of oxygen.

Michael Worthington  #9  KCD Midfield.  Michael is a rising Senior and is simply called "Mr. Michael" on the field.  He does not like eating Alphabet Soup, because there are not enough vowels in it.  His secret weapon during a game is simply his stick, because his hand shooting speed has been clocked as one of the fastest in the Midwest.  One of the best Face Off Artists in the State, Michael hopes to attend Harvard, JCC or Centre.  His ACT score of 37 should help. His signature move is the Worthington Hidden Ball Prestidigitation, "Now you see it, now you don't."  Nicknamed the "mechanic", Michael consistently gets it done. He believes he resembles a crocadile, because "it's all in the teeth."  Michael is a 3rd year Bat.

Mitch Abel    Defense   1st Year Bat.    Trinity H.S. Mitchell played on the BATS II team last year.  He is one of the tallest players in Kentucky, wearing size 18 cleats.  His wing span is like a 747, and that is why he is able to defend an entire side of the field solo.  Working on his 1st degree black Belt, Mitchell does not back down from anyone.  He hopes to move to Japan and open up his own Sushi buisness.  Opponents fear his arm pit hair as he towers above them.  He dyes one pit hair blue after every Bat win.  He whispers in opponents ears during the game, "Want to meet my pit hairs?"  His signature move is the "Sasquatch" which fans on the sidelines can't watch.  It is too disturbing.

Kevin Sims     2nd year Bat.  Midfield  Trinity H.S.

#24  Jordan Shutt  Defense   1st Year Bat.  Christian Academy

#37 Mason Paas     First Year Bat.  Defense  Christian Academy. Mason is the president of the Bat Mensa Club.  His analytical mind confuses opponents, after he figures the Cosine and Tangent of opponents angles during games and quickly intercepts their hypotenuse.  Not only smart, his "dreamy eyes" disarm opponents.  Mason can speak four languages, leap tall buildings with a single bound, and is faster than a speeding bullet.  He hopes to become an international man of mystery.

Zack Riggs        Midfield/FO  St. Xavier   Junior 1st year Bat.  Plays with STickhead team when not with the Bats.

#21  Evan Kargl     Attack   Trinity H.S.  1st Year Bat.  One of the sneakiest Attackmen in the state.  He is not afraid to mix it up with more Brawny players.  Evan can find open areas on the field and can flush the ball.  His shot has been clocked at 154 mph as it richochet's off opponent's goalies.  His signature move, "Find the mousehole" has been attempted by others, but no one can do it like Evan.  A strict vegetarian, he is also a thespian at heart.  He can quote Edgar Alan Poe, and often whispers into opponent's ears, "Never-more".  Thought to be the "Poe Shadow" (look it up), he is sneaky, mysterious, and disarming. He likes to be called "Bruno."

#25  Brian Czerwonka   Goalie   2nd year Bat.   Rising Junior Western Reserve Academy.  Adidas All American 2010, 2011.
