Conbatulation to Coach Andersen as he begins his college coaching career at Hanover College. He will be continuing with the Bats this fall. There are a number of Bats playing at Hanover that are glad to see him. We wish coach all the luck.
Players are encouraged to sign up with Master Hartoonian (see link) for elite Lacrosse conditioning program with other Bats. Increase speed, footwork, agility....

Michael Anderson (Denver; Bats Defense Coach); Ryan Smith (Bellarmine; Midfield Coach); Kevin Johnson (Trinity Goalie Coach); Bruce Pan (Bellarmine); Greg Harris (University of Louisville); Chris Sims (Bellarmine); and Pete Schroeder (Trinity Head Coach and Coach of the Year).
Check out Trent Erps on ESPN playing at the Cottle Lacrosse Tournament this past fall. Bats continue to get looks.
A Great Big Bat hug and thank you to all the parents that have supported us this year. A special thanks to those senior Bats and their parents for competing with us the last 3 years. We hope that we have helped provide you with opportunities to take your game to college. Hopefully the Bat adventure has been more than just lacrosse, but one of fellowship, sportsmanship, and being part of a bigger family.
The Bats enjoyed a warm New Years at the Dick's National Tournament. We can say we played against the toughest competition in the nation this year. The Bats began the day against two of the strongest teams at the tournament, New Westminster Salmonbellies and the Roadwarriors (2011 runner up). Roadwarriors, starring Midfielder Lyle Thompson, widely regarded as the nation's top high school player, defeated the Bats 12-4. More information in the News Section. We met many D1 and D3 coaches who contacted the Bats for information on players and team. More pictures in picture section.... and the Blogspot.
Against some kid named Lyle Thompson

Fall Tryout for the Bats a Success
The Fall Tryout for Bats brought 30 high caliber players to the Bat Field, all with the intent to play College Lacrosse. Schools representing State Champions Christian Academy, State Runner Up Manual, State Runner Up Trinity, State Champions St. X, and Tate's Creek were present to showcase their skills. These athletes clearly showed that the Lacrosse IQ and talent are rising. The Fall Team for Md and Tampa will be chosen on Monday the 20th and posted by the 21st. Costs for travel will be announced as well. When one Laxer was asked if he was willing to challenge himself and other Bats to be the best, he replied: "I want to be the best, I want to be a part of a team that wants to be the best, I want to compete against the best, I want to learn from the best, I want to be a Bat!"
End of story!!!!!

It was Bat-Hot, and not just the weather. This was the best talent we have seen in quite a while, all competing on the same field to make the Summer Bat Team. It was an exciting and exhausting 3 hours of tryouts and difficult decision making. Many schools represented including: KCD, Collegiate, Trinity, Manual, St. X, Greenwood, Covington Catholic, Lexington Catholic, Sayre, Lafayette, and Cathedral. Our 4 Bat teams are set for the Rutgers MVP, Lax-n-Ati, Gait Cup, and Cherry Bomb. Due to the Bats recognition of family time, down time (so as not to burn out our young Batlings), vacations, financial constraints, camps, and so forth we have formulated Bat teams that hopefully meet accomodate the family. If you dare, go to the Our Team section to see who are Bat teams are and where they are traveling..... Fear the BAT
If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle. "The Art of War"
